I have another smart watch purchased from Amazon, but this was such a good price point I thought I would try this one out. Since I already have a smart watch I know what to look for in selecting one.
First, charging – it didn't take that long to charge to 100% so that's a good thing.
Second, downloading the watch app is pretty simple, then just create an account, pair the watch and you're almost done. After that I did have to customize some things like the preferences for 12H/24H, weight and height measurements, and then I had to make sure it was tracking my location for the weather info.
The app does ask for access to a lot of information like your contacts, following fitness data from your phone and other things, but you can decline. It might not be as functional as you'd like it to be, but you can choose yes or no.
Some options are free, like a few select watch faces, some sleep music (played through your phone but can be controlled by your watch) but they also have upgrade options for a fee. There are things that cost extra like their Smart Recipes, which is a monthly fee.
Third, the app gives you many options for tracking your diet and health like sleep monitoring, stress levels, calorie consumption and it can also give a reminder to drink water or track your menstrual cycle!
Fourth, the watch itself is pretty easy to navigate, even though it idles for only a few seconds before you have to push the button on the side or move your wrist around. There are many things to do on the watch like make and receive calls, use Alexa, and of course track your activity and heart rate. The watch is lightweight and doesn't feel heavy on your wrist and of course it can be adjusted to how tight or loose you want it.
So here are my negatives:
First, I don't like the buckle on the watch band. It's plastic and feels cheap. The watch itself is metal so it doesn't look like it fits with the band. However I do like the green color.
Second, the phone can only store so much data. So if you want to save watch faces, for example, you have to have enough memory space. And a couple of selections I tried didn't even download, they just said "waiting" so that was frustrating.
Overall I think it is still a good watch and good value. The positives outweigh the negatives.
